Introduction

In 2016 and 2017, I developed and released two plugins for Minecraft Spigot: SmexAntiCheat (SAC) and Systematic. These plugins are designed to enhance server security and gameplay by providing anti-cheat measures and essential game functions.

What is Spigot?

Spigot is a high-performance Minecraft server software that allows developers to create custom plugins to extend game functionality. It’s widely used by the Minecraft community due to its flexibility and robust API.

Plugins

Plugin 1: Systematic

Systematic is a versatile plugin that adds various commands and functions to improve server management and player experience. It was the first plugin I developed, serving as a learning tool for how to interact with users and handle events like player joins and leaves, as well as creating custom entities with unique interactions such as villager trading.

Plugin 2: SmexAntiCheat (SAC)

SmexAntiCheat is an anti-cheat plugin designed to help server admins detect and prevent common cheats in Minecraft. This was my second plugin, developed about half a year after Systematic. My goal was to dive deeper into cheat detection, focusing on monitoring player stats like movement and crosshair placement to detect suspicious behaviors in real-time.
